Value Partners has made three senior appointments in Asia: Mayank Parekh recently joined the firm as director and managing partner for Asia, Demetrio Di Martino moved to Asia from South America to lead the firm’s telecom media technology (TMT) practice and Yeo Soo Ruey joined the Singapore office and will lead the firm’s Asia-wide private equity practice.

 

Parekh takes on oversight of the firm’s business strategy for the region.  he has over 11 years of management consultancy experience in both the US and Asia and eight years of private equity experience in the region. He was formerly a partner with McKinsey & Company and responsible for leading their Singapore office until 2007.  Following this he was a private equity investor conducting both buyout and growth capital investments across Asia.  He began his career with General Electric Company in 1988.

 

Di Martino recently moved from Latin America to Asia to lead the TMT practice in the region. The TMT sector is a core focus for Value Partners in Asia and as part of its new strategic focus in the region the firm will continue to invest in talent to serve the demand it sees within this sector.  He brings with him more than fifteen years of management consulting experience with broad international exposure across Europe, Americas, Middle-East and India. In the TMT space, he has assisted large corporations on a variety of topics related to strategy, company transformation and change management.

 

Yeo, who will lead the private equity practice, recently joined Value Partners from PriceWaterhouse Coopers where she had eight years’ experience of transaction advisory strategy.  She started her career with Global Business Insights, a subsidiary of IE Singapore.
